Blackfoot Synergy Homeschool Society

Synergy [sin-er-jee]. noun, plural syn•er•gies.

The interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements, contributions. Or 1 + 1 =5.

We are a group of home educators. We emphasize the concept of synergy as the ideal that we can gain more by joining our efforts. This also suggests that everyone has specific roles and resposibilites to fulfill. We know what needs to be done and how we can succeed. We all lift each other.

Our Values

We are committed to education. We believe that all people have worth that should be honored and respected. We work together, recognizing that we can be unique and unified simultaneously. When we meet together, we choose to prioritize learning, respect, and harmony.

Our Mission

Create a unified home educating community in Blackfoot. Build a group of older students (ages 12+) to strengthen each other personally and educationally, while also supporting younger students in their learning and friendships. For more information on this see our About Us page.

Our Structure

We are a cooperative, so everyone will have roles to play. Everyone will teach. When not teaching, they serve as a class helper or a hall monitor. Everyone also serves on a committee with a specific role so they know expectations and what "success" and "enough" looks like.
